  I can't believe the ignorance of this Dr.!!! My mother had a kidney stone that was stuck just outside her bladder causing severe pain and her kidney to be inflamed and infected. She went to the ER and Dr Gold was the on call Urologist. He did surgery and took the stone out and placed a stint. That was the only good part of his care for her. She needs the stint taken out and when she called to make the appointment they informed her they don't accept her insurance and that before they will take it out she has to pay the surgery fee and $1200 for the stint removal in full. I dare say most people don't have 1000's of dollars to pay! The ER won't help her either! Shouldn't they have said all of this before they did the surgery so she could call a Urologist covered by her insurance???
